Blu Ray DVD Confusion???

Okay so I recorded a film in high def and burned it in AVCHD(high def format) format onto a regular DVD disc. The question is, will I be able to watch it in high def if I were to put it inside a high def dvd player or a ps3?

      You will be able to watch it in HD on PS3. I don't know What a high def dvd player means. Is it a HD-DVD or a upconversion DVD player ?
