Earlier I was on my computer (Dell only 1/2 years old), trying to go onto the internet when it kept freezing up so I shut down the computer by holding the button in. After restarting it, a screen came up telling me that Windows had not started properly, I could then choose to Restart the computer normally, restart with safe mode, restart with safe mode and networking or restart with previous settings. I have tried all of these options but all of them lead me to a blue screen saying :

A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:

Check to make sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for the driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for the BIOS updates. Disable BIOS mamory options such as chaching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safemode.

How do I get rid of this blue screen and does this mean that all of my memory has been whiped?
