Can someone tell me if the questions are the same as in the sample questions for the melbourne boat test...

Tell me what i should study and what i shouldnt

You should know the rules of the nautical road: who has the right of way in all situations of meeting, crossing and overtaking. What lights you are required to carry. What emergency signals and lifesaving equipment you need to have. You need an understanding of the buoy-age system in your area. You need to know the common distress signals.

That should get you through most of it. The rest is common sense. Good luck.
