  1. You could also check the Teleflex web site..they are the leading manufacturer of steering cables

  2. you will need a Stick II steering cable 13' in length.

  3. Your old steering cable should have info printed on it, such as model # and length. Remove it and take a look.

  4. remove the old one and take it to the shop

  5. There should be a number on the cable itself.  Bass tracker has made a million of those boats. So you could almost just tell the parts store the make of your boat.  The more info that you give the parts guy the better luck you will have at getting the right part.  The number on the cable, the type of engine, the type of steering, etc.  should get you the right part. Good luck

  6. You can use a flexible measuring tape and measure from the steering wheel along the side of boat to engine (I measure to corner of the Stern then out to engine) you want to measure for room to reach without the cable being in a bind to get there.

Most old cables have the length on them.

First answer correct, just remove and take with you.

The main thing, you have to remove to replace, same with cars for parts many times. If, you can take the part with you it help to be sure you get the correct part.

But, with boat cables, it nice to have the correct and when you pull the old you tape the new (Tight, butt ends) to opposite end to pull the new into place.
