Boat to cuba from mexico?

ill be in cancun in a few days can you take a boat from cancun to cuba? seems so close.

I'm certain you can but not sure if it's legal. Many cuban immigrants take boats over and come in through the Mexican border as it's apparently easier than coming in through Florida.

It will be better for you to take an airplane. You won't be able to travel by ferry.

See the link below to read more information about that. There is one part of information showing that there is an individual who does day trips by ferry from Jamaica to Cuba....but not from Mexico.

But you can definitely fly into Cuba and will be well worth your travel. It will be faster than boat and you'll love it!

Fly from Cancun to Cuba.  They will not stamp your passport but put the visa on a separate paper... you DO need a passport.

There are no regular ferries between Cuba and Mexico the only connection is by airplane from Cancun to Havana.

Some private yachts make trips between Havana Marina Hemingway and Cancun or Miami, but there is a huge surveillance of the Cuban , Mexican and US Coast Guards

searching for people and drugs trafficking and I am not sure if the yachts are allowed to take pasengers.
