  1. Twilight

    Out of Focus

    Gemini Summer

These books are my favourite these days

  2. Harry Potter

    Single Shard - Newbery

    Volkhaavar by Tanith Lee

Emma by Bronte, first three chapters.

    Reading Lolita in Tehran

  3. I have no idea what an IEP is, or what you meant by "sped student," so my recommendations aren't going to take whatever all that meant into account.

Looking for Alaska (Green)-- I VERY highly recommend that one.

    How I Live Now (Rosoff)

Speak (Anderson)-- you'll probably appreciate it more if you're a girl, but it's good either way

Hard Love (Wittlinger)-- well, it's emotional and about adolescents.  Apparently teens like it.  I think it was the worst thing I've ever read, but apparently that's just me.

  4. My personal favorites are all of Meg Cabot's books as well as Sophie Kinsellas' Shopaholic series.

  5. Try  "Speak".   That's a great, believable adolescent-type book.
