Boris Johnson at the closing ceremony?

whats the odds on Boris Johnson, doing something really stupid or completely cocking something up in the Olympic closing ceremony today?

He looked so scruffy with his jacket undone, he kept putting his hands in his pockets, and then quickly removing them about 10 times. So nearly messed up waving the flag as well. Laughed loads, good on you Boris!

I'm not familiar with Boris Johnson, but during the flag handover at the closing ceremony, one of the Seven commentators (ie in Australia) said "Now of under IOC protocol the Lord Mayors are not allowed to speak during the ceremony...which is probably just as well" And then the other commentator says "Hear, hear!" I gathered from that that he must be bit of a dill :)

After he'd waved the flag and approached that IOC guy I was cringing at the way he was giving it the "thank you, thank you, thank you very much" handshake, but the little salute he did then just made me, as a fellow Brit, wanna crawl under a stone.  I just hope the rest of the world can understand that we're not all like him :o)
