Bose acoustimass 10/5?

with the bose accoustimass 5 or the 10, what kind of dvd/amplifier should i use? (how many watts should i get is what im asking)...

  1. Doesn't it have an internal amp?, manning, isn't it self powered?

    I just looked it up, it isn't.

    Use a good amp, try matching the output power to the max of the sub-woofer.

    says 10-200 watts, buy a 200w (4 or 8 Ohm) amp.

    Read the features and Spec's.

    How do you intend to power the rest of the speakers?

    Sorry I first thought that this was just a sub-woofer. If it is a complete 5.1 system (Sub+left+center+Right+ 2 rear), then you need a complete Home Theater System. It contains 5 amplifiers, an AM/FM tuner, and some include the DVD player. Generally the amplifiers are designed to match the speakers of the same brand and model. If you buy a different amp, it'll work, but it may not be optimized for your speakers.
