  1. depends where u live. if u live in SD go to Lava Sport & Fitness

  2. well you look up in your local area because  i boxed and my dad boxed for a long time and he just found a local are gym and we went there

  3. I would suggest that you check up on your local boxing club(s). thats how i learned and i'm a pretty good fighter now.

  4. ok then go to a boxing gym. type in the city where you live and boxing gyms in google and see what comes up. you can also try boxinghelp.com which has a directory of boxing gyms.

a question to ask your potential instructor...

Have any of your students competed and how well did they do?

  5. Best places are usually cheap, small time affairs with people who have actually had both amateur and pro experience. It won't cost a lot, and if it is really glitzy with new equipment and fancy promises, run.

Look for someone who will train you a fair bit one on one, but a class is ok as long as you still get some individual time.

Boxing itself is pretty simple to learn. The training is tough 'though, and you also want someone who will look after you. Your brain is precious, and safety should be first. So, also watch out for places that throw you into the ring right away. Conditioning and training should be all the initial focus.

Boxing is mainly you, your natural talent, and then tons of conditioning and repetition of the few simple moves that will work for your style. A great trainer will see that in you, and bring it out quick. Then, you have to do all the work to realize the potential.

    Good luck.
