Boxing help me?

well i was gonna take up another sport i already take karate and adore it but we don't compete and i really wanted to try boxing it looks fun and i want to do it in competions and my dad was a boxer for alittle while but i got to get my mom to go for it and i have to get a coach so how can i get my mom to go for this? without freaking that her youngest daughter is going to be in a ring beating up people

We go you for boxing it is fun , I enjoy Kick boxing myself but yeah you just need to tell your mom straight out and respect her decision no matter what it is...I am sure it will be reasonable.

Hi how old are you ? I do boxing. It's hard work. It's physically and mentally very demanding, but it's great ! There's hardly any girls that compete though. I think my coach told me that there's only about 12 girls in the whole country ! So you can imagine how hard it is to find me an opponent. Maybe i will end up fighting you one day lol. I don't think my mums very happy about me doing it, but she's learned to accept it. My dad doesn't mind so much but that's because he's a man. My brother does boxing too. He's boxed for England before. He's the one that got me into it lol. You get injured a lot, but rarely are they serious or fatal. It's usually just something like a broken nose or a black eye. There common boxing injuries. It pays off though because it teaches you how important it is to have a good defense. Your mum not wanting to see you in the ring beating people up and getting beaten up is understandable. No-one likes seeing someone they love get hurt. Even though i do boxing i still don't particularly like seeing my brother getting hurt when he's competing. My mum looks away lol.

Well, what is your dad's view on you boxing? If he is for you taking up boxing, then perhaps he could help sway your mother into thinking everything is going to be okay.
