Brentford, Twickenham and Hampton areas?

Question

Anybody have any good info about what these areas are like to live in? They seem to me near the river, near some nice parks and reasonably priced. Any further things I need to know would be useful.

I am very close to Brentford and my children go to school in Brentford.  My advise is dont live too near the river, you pay more and you will have a problem with rats!

A local pestcontroller told me never live near a river or canal as you will get visited by rats.

There is a big estate in Brentford (you cant miss the big tower blocks) stay clear of there apart from that its an up and coming place.  Twickenham is nicer Hampton even nicer but very expensive property (both renting and buying)
