Broken Spring Clip Connectors?

While I was reinstalling my surround sound audio system, one of the spring clip connectors broke. I ended up getting it to work using electrical tape, but this doesn't seem like an ideal solution. Is there any way to get the connector repaired without replacing the entire speaker? It seems like a waste to throw out a perfectly good speaker because of a cheap piece of plastic. Thanks for the help!

You should not need to replace the speaker, but you might have to.

If the connector is removable, then just replace it or try pushing a piece of stripped wire through the faulty connector and attach it to the inside of the connector or the wire going to it by soldering or maybe a wire nut.  You may have to be creative to get a secure connection.

If it is not removable, you may be able to access it from the the front of the speaker by removing the grill and the woofer (larger speaker).

If this is the type of speaker that nothing is removable, you may have to replace it.
