I've had my gold and not straighter for about 3 years now. and only recently have i actually put the usage in it. as i was just straightening my hair it slipped on the floor. i was thinking its either i let it go or my foot so it fell on the floor and when i picked it up the hinges (the part where the two parts meet...) had snapped...the wire is still in there and is okay. its just i can't push it back together...

can i fix this because i was just starting to like this straighter. :(

and can't afford my sedu quite yet...:) thanks a million!!!

  1. You may be able to fix it but it will not last long like that.  If you can slide the hing back together and there are no broken parts just put the wire back through.  I'd start saving some money ever if you do get it back together.

  2. If the hinge itself (plastic part) broke it is probably not worth fixing as a new one is very inexpensive.  If you can just replace the rivet with a bolt and nut then it might be worth it.  Overall I would say pitch it and buy a new one.
