Our Brother XL-4012 does not sew properly and stops (or stops, starts then little jumps) when the foot paddle is pressed! Basically, it always gets stuck then makes a grrrr grrrrrrr... sound before it starts sewing.
We suspect the foot paddle is not transfering the foot pressure into even stitching (if that's the correct term for the action)!
Also, a Brother shop owner mentioned about the belt? (though he did not actually see the machine)?
But after taking the machine apart (cleaning, throughly oiling, checking etc), we did not see anything wrong with the belt! i.e No wear & tear, marks etc - all original with even teeth and so on.
But what could this problem be?
Please, help.
Thanks
