Budapest or Munich and Salzburg?

Question

I'm going to Barcelona, Vienna, and Prague in September. I'm trying to decide if I should go to Budapest or to Munich and Salzburg for the last part of my European trip? Please help.

I would chose Budapest as i been there and its great city,i dont know about Munich and Salzburg but Hungarian capital is just...you ll see!:p

Munich is very close to Salzburg and you could go their for a day trip from Munich. Budapest is further out. I would stay in Munich and take trips to Salzburg and  Innsbruck. There is plenty to do in all three places. They are all lovely.

For me, I would recommend Budapest. I'm also going to Central Europe this November and my travel agent strongly advised me to spend more time in Budapest, Prague and Vienna. There are limited attractions in Munich and Salzburg wherein Budapest has much to see. Budapest has the Buda Castles and as my travel agent says, they are such grand sights to behold. Heroe's Square, the Parliament building, Margaret Island, the Fisherman's Bastion, the Royal Castle and Matthias Coronation Church are just wonderful!

I live 6 months per year in Budapest.

been coming here for more then 30 years and still haven't seen everything.

It's really changed but still a great city.

Now they have tour boats up the Danube, when I first came here,my husband paid two guys with a private outboard rigger to give us a romantic cruise up the river.
