Bugs that pop??

what is the kind of bug that pops if you press or step on it hard enough? it pops up into the air.

i don't usually go around testing bugs if they pop or not, so sorry, i can't answer you

I know the type you're talking about...I think. My mom has always called them "click beetles".

However, that could just be some weird name she came up with for the bug when I was little. She also use to call tree frogs "sticky frogs". lol

It pops up into the air? Well, click beetles do that if I touch them but if I step on them they just sort of squish... Hmmm...do you know what this bug looks like??

Seems like a trick question to me! Have to be one tough mutha of a bug to not just squish when you step or press really hard on it.
