Built in DVB? Help!!! Sky..?

I´ve just bought a Philips 32" HD TV with built in DVB. I´m a bit confused on wot DVB actually is, do u pick up channels?

I have Sky Digital in my living room, and an ariel cable run through to my room, so i can watch what they are watching in the living room....could i somehow pick up channels from sky? if i have the cable plugged in??

Also it says to enter a frequency..khz?..6 digits...can anybody tell me what to input? i know sky is either 11.778 ghz or 12.051 ghz, but not khz???

I think what your doing is illegal.
