Bumps on my areola are leaking?

not a lot. But without squeezing a couple have leaked. And my left nipple is dry and the skin is peeling. Is this normal?

Those bumps are sweat glands so it does not surprise me to hear that some have leaked a little.  As for the dry peeling skin on your nipple, start putting cream on it, you don't want it to get any worse or it could crack and become very painful.

it could be, depending on how far along you are. If you are close to being full term then yes, it could be normal...but if your still early in your pregnancy then I dont think thats normal.  Either way it doesnt sound like a health issue, just use a breast pad in your bras to make sure you dont have an 'accidents'

I think what you are describing is colostrum. It's completely normal and so are the dry skin and peeling if you are pregnant. You could try some nursing creams or some lotion with cocoa butter. Try looking for more info on www.whattoexpect.com.

Breast changes during pregnancy are quite normal.  The hormones of pregnancy have a lot to do with it.  Most pregnant women will begin to produce colostrum sometime during their second trimester.  This colostrum is the nutrient rich pre-milk that will nourish your baby and provide him/her with many good anit-bodies until your regular breast milk production begins around 3 days after the birth (milk can come in anytime 1-7 days after birth and be completely normal, 3 days is about average).  Some women begin to experience leakage of colostrum during their pregnancy.  This is what you are experiencing.  It is normal.  Some women do not ever leak during their pregnancy and that is normal as well.  Dry skin is also a normal part of pregnancy.  Your blood volume increases significantly when you are pregnant to help nourish and nurture your growing baby.  This extra blood volume requires extra water to maintain so sometimes your skin pays the price of not getting enough water in your system.  Drink more water and use a moisturizing skin cream on your b*****s.  There are several types of creams made specifically for the nipples of nursing moms and one of these products would be good to use on your peeling nipple.  When I was nursing my babies (years ago since my kids are now 29, 26, 23, and 11) the hospital would give us nursing moms capsules of Vitamin E oil to break open and put on our nipples between feedings.  You can go to a drug store or health food store and purchase this over the counter.  Use a large sewing needle or sharp knife to break open the capsule then squeeze the oil onto your nipple.  It will help keep the moisture in and help promote healing.  My oldest daughter is a mom herself with a 16 month old son.  When she was breast feeding the hospital gave her a cream in a tube to use on her b*****s that she could buy at the store.  I believe it was a lanolin based cream.  You can check with your doctor at your next appointment or give a call to the office to see if they have further recommendations for dry b*****s and nipples.  It's OK, everything you are experiencing is normal.  I just saw your added details that you are only 5 weeks.  Sore b*****s are quite normal, but the leaking not necessarily so.  I think you should call your doctor's office on this one.
