Burning WMV video file?

Question

Im trying to burn a WMV video to a DVD+R, is there a simple way to convert it or normalize it so that it looks right on my TV, if there is what is the best suited format?

Also, I have a PAL region 2 DVD, is there a way I can copy that to a region 1 DVD+R?
