  1. You need to use Nero or a similar package, check if the movie is avi, Divx, or MP4 then check that you have the Codex to play the movie on your DVD player. Or if you want to play it back on the PC download VLC player. its loaded with codex.

  2. Use Sothink DVD maker, its free, the DVD will play on your home DVD player

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

it is easy to use, fast and it works perfect for me.. give it a try, you'll love it

    1. Download ConvertXtoDVD from vso official site here:

It can convert any video file.. like

avi, divx, xvid, mov, mkv, flv ,youtube,  mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg-, nsv, dvr-ms, tivo, ts, ifo, vob, asf, wmv, realmedia, rm, rmvb, ogm,

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle

    3. Insert blank DVD

    4. Click "Convert"

    5. Enjoy watching those video files on your home DVD player! =)

ConvertXtoDVD has a lot of extra nice features too,

for example you can make your own DVD menu or auto-generate it, add subtitles, auto-burn to dvd or save your conversion.

  5. Windows Media Player can not do the necessary conversion to DVD format.  You need a separate program that convert the file and burn it to DVD.  There are some free programs here   http://www.download.com/3150-2646_4-0-1-...
