what do i have to do to burn dvds on the computer do i have to buy some software or what. and do i need a dvd burner. or can i just download the movie and copy it to a dvr.

you will need a DVD Burner Drive ( DVD-RW) in order to burn dvds, if you want to burn DVDs that are encrypted like hollywood movies, you will need an Illegal Software in order to do that, no you will not need to buy anything, if you want to Burn Movies here is some links to DVD Burning software.
