Hi everyone!

I'm looking to work my way up to Istanbul from Athens, and I decide to pass by 3 cities : Delphi, Kalambaka, and Thessaloniki from where I'll catch a train to go to Istanbul.

I would greatly appreciate if there's information on bus times and routes in between Delphi and Kalambaka. Should I make an online reservation for he bus tickets ? Or should I purchase them on the bus? And anyone knows about the bus fares?

I have a hard time planning my trip because the KTEL website is all in greek, and unfortunately I don't speak greek :(

Please help me. Thanks

  1. I guess you are not going to see much of Greece but it is still much better than nothing...:)

    Check this out:

    Email them for more info

    In short:

From Delphi you take the bus to Larissa. From Larissa you take another bus to Meteora (Kalambaka) which is close by. I think there is no need for on line booking. You buy the ticket in the ticket office or inside the bus (I am not sure for the last option).

That being said, once you are in Delphi, you may ask people around whether there is a direct connection to Meteora (don't think so but you never know).

    Enjoy Greece!
