I agree with the other poster on not knowing what business your looking into.  Are you asking about a business you would own, or a business you would be working for at the corporate level.  If it's a business you own, you would start out with zero, until you got your first customer, you then keep building up your clients that bases your income level until you reach your profit level.  If it's a corporate level it depends on what your responsibilities are.  Are you commissioned based only or salaried?
