What are the legal side of things for us to start a business over there? We are both English.

  1. Hi, my husband's family is in real estate in Sousse, if you want you can tell me what you are looking for and for what type of business and he said he can have someone look into it for you..

  2. There are certain conditions, rules and stipulations that must be met in order for a foreigner to start a business here in Tunisia.

The first things you will need are:

**Statement with the appropriate investment promotion agency according to business.

**Articles of incorporation deposit and registration at the court of first instance clerk’s office.

**Registration of the company’s articles of incorporation with the Ministry of Finance collection desk.

**Opening statement a tax registration number with the tax office.

    **Publication in the Official Gazette.

    **Obtaining a customs registration number.

As for looking for commercial space on the internet, you will find that prices advertised online are a lot higher than the prices you could negotiate for yourself once you are here in person. I highly suggest that you wait on finding a property until you are able to come to Tunisia, look at one in person and negotiate the price.

Hope this heps. If I can be of any more help or assistance, please feel free to contact me.
