Buy XM Satellite radio in Canada?

If i buy an XM radio reciever in Canada and you move to the United States will you be able to get XM Radio USA instead of XM Canada or do you need to buy a reciever in the USA

  1. The receiver will work no problem, but I'd call them and tell them because the US and Canadian channels differ and so you can be billed in the proper currency. The XM Canadian comedy channel (152 I think) is included in the US lineup.


  2. If you are a Canadian subscriber, you can enter the US and receive all your regular Canadian programming. If you notify XM, you will also receive the US programming not available in Canada.

    You receiver, whether purchased in the US or Canada, should work on both sides of the border.

    If you are a US subscriber, your XM will only work in the border cities. If you plan to be in Canada for an extended time or away from the border, it might be smart to pay $2 extra per month for a signal that will penetrate into most areas of Canada. You may lose some of your US programming if you do this. Again customer service can help. Their number is below.

  3. Your receiver will work, but if you move to the US, call XM so they know you are in the Us, you will get more programming.
