Buying car out of the state?

I live in IL and want to buy car from Nevada.

I was thinking to fly there and drive the car back to IL

How can i have that done. Its 2000 mi. Car is not register and i have no insurance. What i can possibly do...

Any idea? Just please dot write drive without plate number etc

  2. You should see if they can port it over.. but its a lot.. i was living in CA at the time and wanted to buy a car from North Dakota.. they said that they can port it over though its going to cost me an extra thousand two.

  3. Have it shipped by truck. It might be cheaper than buying gas to drive it and a lot less trouble.

    If you drive it, your bill of sale and signed title (from seller) will work as a registration until you can get back and get it registered within 30 days at your home state. But you should call and get insurance before driving it.
