C&G7407 and QTS?

Question

I have QTS, but my qualification is from overseas (Bachelor in Education and Master degree in Education Technologies approved my UK Naric).

My present workplace (Special needs college) determine employee status and salary points by C&G 7407 levels and then going to top points for PECS and TEACCH (pt 10-13)

It's looks like they put me to entry level (point 1) which is even lower than level 1 in 7407.

Can anybody explain me how 7407 and QTS (or bachelor and master in Education) is related and is it right (equal) situation for me?

Hello, The C&G 7407 was the teacher qualification prior to the Certificate in education/Post Graduate certificate in education. it seems to me that they are trying to get your services as cheaply as possible, typical College.

i should no, i was a further education lecturer for 5yrs until i saw the light!!!!

They recruit staff with no or low Qualifications so they can get them onto low Pay scales then give them the appropriate staff development so that they can get funding for YOUR learning and achievement bonuses.
