Question:

CD/DVD drive problem?

when i go to 'my computer' i cannot see the icon for CD/DVD drive. Also when i go to 'device manager ' in the control panel it says: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)".

I do not have any CD's and I am running Windows Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba Satellite P200/602.

  1. Try deleting it from Device manager and reboot the machine. Windows should then find "a new device" and install it again.
