CD Player in Car

Question

I have a 99 Rav 4. The radio/cd are the factory installed products. My problem is a week or so ago, the cd player started jumping tracks. I put a cd in and it starts playing track 16 then at the end of the track, it goes to track 4 and then to track 12, just all over the place. I tried a Memorex cd to clean the player but it made no difference.
Do I need a new cd player?
