Me and my friends are planning a trip for this winter break. We want a great nightlife and great scenery and a lot of activities that we can do. I haven't been to either Cabo or Acapulco and can't decide between the two. Also what hotels/ resort would you suggest either at Cabo or Acapulco. We want either 4 or 5 star place... thanks..

  1. Cabo

  2. Acapulco!!

The weather in Cabo is colder than Acapulco.

    Nightlife in Acapulco is 'wilder'.

Hotels between one and the other are different. Hotels in Cabo are more like Tourist Complexes because there is not much to do outside of them. In acapulco hotels are more like tall buildings because youll spend most of your time at the pool, the beach or around town.

  3. I live in Acapulco............In the winter the tourist season is mostly Canadians and the weather is heaven - could not pick a better time.

I'm a simple man so I cant help you on 4 and 5 star hotels.

Pie de la Cuesta is a hidden gem 30 minutes outside of Acapulco ( read about it in My link I provided ) Also Ixtapa / zuhantinaho is 3 hours drive along the coast if you want to do a little side journey while your here and see even more of Mexico. Exploring is how you find the hidden gems :)

Check out my link for a gringos point of view on Acapulco. Pie de las Cuesta rules !!!!!!!!!

  4. For your age and your agenda - CABO!

Acapulco is beautiful but it can't compare to the night life in Cabo.

As for the hotels, the Finestera and Pueblo Bonito (Rose) are great resorts and they are located right downtown so you won't have to pay for taxi's both ways every day.

    Have a great time!

  5. Cabo is definitely more of a party town. I found some good deals on SpinCityTravel.com
