Calcuttas ????/?

Do you like them or not ,in small local tourns.with a $5 to $10 entry fee?

I've played in a couple Johnny and enjoyed them.  We have a tournament on Saturdays here that was intended for the B players and there was a tournament for the A players on Sundays. Sundays folded because the higher level skilled players didn't want to play each other.

Once Sunday's died they started letting the A players in  a few at a time on Saturday. It wasn't long before the tournament went from 32 players and turning people away at the door to 10 or so players a week. It virtually killed the tournament.

Most of our better players are genuinely afraid to play an opponent of any worth. They just go after easy money. They talk the talk but when it comes down to it none of the can walk the walk. I'd enjoy having you here in Florida sometime Johnny just to watch you take their money.....and win another scooter or two. :)

Well Johnny I've never seen a calcutta in a $5 or $10 entry fee tourney, don't see the point.  But hey, who doesn't like to gamble when you get a chance.

Yup,

I like them.  You gotta have them.  A 5 dollar entry fee alone is not a big enough pot for the winners of the tournament.  San Antonio has some really good action, sometimes huge calcutta pots.  I recommend always betting on yourself.  It helps boost your confidence level and keeps your shot straight.  When the big tournament in May (vegas BCA)comes around you'll be shooting like a champ.

If you mean the little bar 's yes it does hurt them once the top players dominate a few it just folds up and back to square one again when they hear of more money at another place
