I accidently dropped my camera when I went on a class trip to New York . The lens bent a little bit , and it wont go back into my camera . So I'm stuck with a camera where the lens won't go back in . My mom said that we can go somewhere to get it fixed , would that be possible ? Just wondering because if not i really need a new camera . Thanks !!

  1. If you take it in, ask if you can get a free estimate for fixing it.  Then you can decide whether it would be better just to buy a new one.  They have gotten rather inexpensive, so that may be your best option.

  2. I agreed with other contributor, replace with a new one could be your best option for the following reasons:

    1) ìt could be costly to fix

    2) even if they can fix the lens, u not know what`s the problem inside the camera, could be nearly broken, that might end up you need to pay for a new camera PLUS the repair cost.

    3) newer camera is less expansive nowaday and offer newer and better functions/quality.

    4) give u a perfect excuse to upgrade your camera.
