Camera question.?

Question

whenever we turn our camera on it gives us this message:"please turn camera off and then on again".

ive done that repeatedly and it still says the same thing.

the batteries are okay because we keep putting in new ones and if the batteries were a problem it would say: "please replace the batteries" and then turns offf.

Try taking the memory card out. Sounds like a reading error to me.

Make sure that there isnt any moisture in the camera. Moisture can do strange things. Open all the doors of the camera and pull the memory card and let it sit in front of a fan for a while.

Ok, there is a capacitor drain you could try.  It makes the camera reset. Pull out the batteries. Wait 10 minutes. Push and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Put the batteries back in and try to turn the camera back on.
