Anyone have any good crochet patterns. I'm looking at using a camouflage yarn & maybe another color or two? Maybe a granny square pattern? It is for a man, so I'm looking for something not to frilly. :) Thanks!!

  1. Granny squares are too feminine ,when I need a crochet pattern I go to crochet.com and knitting help.com .

  2. Have you used that yarn before? It can turn out looking diagonally striped and not Camo at all. I made my Husband a scarf using just two threads together (cut at different color points) and then it actually looked Camo. I also made him a water/soda bottle carrier that he could sling over his shoulder.

Do you have access to a can coozie  pattern? I used the same principal making a ring and  then justalternated rows of sc & dc increasing  just a little as I went  till I got the size of the bottom of the bottle  then dc each row  to start it curling up and  extended up to the neck using a 1 liter bottle as a guide, decreased a little  around the neck to hold it in place and then a row of sc. Then just made him a sling that consisted of 2 rows of dc about 3 1/2 feet long and attached it with a "D" ring. He carries it everywhere.

I have a pattern of a can coozie you can adapt from If you are interested email me. it is a cutout from a mag and when I tried OCR it didn't recognize half of it so I will send you a Zipfile email if you want it.

  3. Here is a link for free crochet patterns. You could also check at your local public library in the craft section. They usually have a good selection of pattern books. I liked some so much, I ordered a few from a book store.
