I have an iPod but its sort of old and the screen is cracked so i want a new one! My question is, if i plug the new one into my computer, can I tell it that I want to use the old library? Or will I have to start a new one? It will be on the same computer...just a different iPod...?

  1. Without using any third party software, You can use your iTunes library on multiple iPods, but you can only sync each iPod to one library.

There are some programs available that will let you sync one iPod to multiple libraries.

  2. get itunes backup/transfer software from http://www.ipodtocomputer.net/itunes-lib... you can backup from one computer and restore to another, very easy to use.

  3. It will automatically use whatever library is on the computer you plug it into unless you tell it not to. You could share a library with more than 8 iPods if you wanted to (Just an example).
