  1. New?

Honda Accord. The new Acura TSX has received terrible reviews by Edmunds.com. The reason for the bad rating was due to brakes that smoked on the second run.

Honda Accord would be a great choice new. The Honda Accord is an example of how to do it right. The interior dash may look somewhat intimidating, yet it is quite simple to use. Other than the Nissan Altima, the Accord remains the most athletic of the class, followed by the Chevrolet Malibu. The only two things I could complain about this car is strange styling, and cloth interior which has the effect to look dirty at times.

    Used?

I would recommend the Acura TSX because the previous generation was a great car. The TSX had an excellent navigation system, inoffensive styling, and commendable performance. For 2009, it seems like all of these virtues left the car for a confusing navigation system, horrible brakes, and strange styling.

Here is a list of other car I would recommend and why I recommend them:

    New:

    1) Nissan Altima- Very Athletic, Built Well, Great Price

    2) Mazda3- Good MPG, Fit and Finish is Superb, Beat Civic in a Test by Edmunds

    3) Hyundai Sonata- 32 MPG, Built Well in the US, Safe, Standard Feature King, Somewhat Athletic

    Used:

    1) Infiniti G35- 306 HP, Built Well, Great Styling, A Good Value, This Car will make You do Bad Things

    2) Acura TL- Resale Value, Very Reliable, Amazing Navigation, Looks Nice, Barely any Recalls

    3) BMW 3-Series- Resale Value, 50/50 Weight Distribution, Agile, Somewhat Reliable, Fast, Benchmark Car for All Classes

Test by Edmunds.com for 2009 Acura TSX:

    Good Luck

  2. If your money isn't a factor the TSX is an absolutely dream of a car to have. the handling, power and feel surpasses the Accord by miles in my opinion. Plus i think the new Accord looks like a generic BMW.
