Can't download files from Firefox :(?

Question

anybody know why? every time i try to click on a downloadable link, an error message comes up saying i need to change the destination folder. which i do and still, the message comes up. i have a macbook pro, w/ leopard 10.5.4 and i've already updated firefox to the latest version. but the weird thing is that when i right click to save an image, i can easily download it anywhere succesfully!! HELP please!!! :-/

reinstall firefox, if this doesnt help then try to consider using another browser ex..Opera
