Hey i've just bought a normal white macbook and literally just put a DVD in it thinking i could somehow rip the episodes. I accidentally pressed "duplicate" or "copy to desktop" and when i saw it would take a long time, decided to cancel it. It says "copying 9 items to desktop," ---then under it says-- "about 44 minutes." it's been like that all day and although it hasnt interfered with any other programs i cant eject the dvd because its "in use" and at the same time i keep pressing the cancel button on the copying thing and its just frozen and wont cancel. ive tried "force quit" as well, but i havent got much experience with macs so i dont kno how to stop the bloody copy so i can eject the DVD!!!!!! any help would be great

  1. Just Force Quit (Command + Option + Escape) Command button is the Apple key next to the space bar) or restart your MacBook and then drag the DVD to the trash and it will be ejected.

If you want to rip videos to DVD use handbrake

  2. You could also try relaunching the Finder. Go to Force Quit and select Finder.

  3. Restart your MacBook and before the Apple logo appears press the button on the trackpad and keep it pressed until the disc ejects
