Can't fight fiends in ffx?

Question

when i did the mini games in bikanel island for the 10 cactaurs, after completing it, it doesn't allow me to fight fiends anymore. When i try to walk around to train or something it doesn't show the cutscene where the glass breaks and the battle starts. Can anyone help me fix this problem? thank you.

If the game does not crash ie. throwing up an error message, telling MS Dr.Watson what really happened at that particular time-moment in your box, but it still works without allowing you to advance (you are talking about Final Fantasy here, right?) then my guess is that some of the game textures are missing, or corrupted during install.

Tell you what, install the latest compatible VGA drivers, update DirectX from Microsoft and do a re-install of the game.

Do not uninstall just go on and re-install this game again.
