  3. Yes, if you are 18.

    The prices are EXPENSIVE and the same everywhere, whether from a machine, gas station or discount store.

    You are allowed to bring along 1 carton (200 cigs) without paying customs. You may want to 'sneak' a few additional packs in your clothing ;-)

    There are black market cigarettes smuggled from Eastern Europe or out of the PX in military towns. You'd have to ask a local to get a lead. Oh, and no more smoking on trains and in restaurants - even most pubs (new law ;-)

    In the village where we lived they had cigarette vending machine on the street post.

  6. They changed the law in the beginning of 2007, now you have to be 18 years old to buy cigarettes in Germany.

  7. Yes, you can but you have to be 16 years at least and if you want to buy them from a cigarette vending machine you need an ID etc card to prove that you are over 16.
