Can I feed whiptail lizards mealworms?

Question

I think I might catch a whiptail lizard and keep it as a pet, but I don't like crickets. Can I feed it just mealworms that are dusted or something other than crickets? If I have to feed crickets, are there any tips for dealing with them. Whiptail care info would also be appreciated. : )

yeah it would be fine, i feed my green anoles meal worms as little treats for a change from crickets and he loves them, but i would suggest buying a lizard not catching one, catching animals and keeping it stresses them out so much that they can die just from the stress

that would probably be ok but do some research,lizard diets are very funny.they get diarrhea easily.
