  1. My 15 year old son tried for a part time job - places wouldn't take him because he wasn't 16. Employers are becoming more and more scared with all the Health and Safety Laws. You can work at 13 if they are prepared to take you on, but there are strict rules governing the hours you work - you are not allowed to work before 7am any morning nor after 7pm on a school night or Sunday night.

If you find a restaurant willing to take you on within the lawful hours go for it.

  2. In the UK, you legally can work from 13 years of age, although there are a lot of restrictions as to what work you can do and how many hours you can work.

However, just because you can legally doesn't mean that you'd easily find an employer who would hire you.  Most large chains don't hire people under 16, although you might find smaller outlets who would hire younger people.  13 might just be too young for them to consider, but it doesn't hurt to ask, especially if you have contacts as they'd be more likely to hire you.

  3. Legally u cant work as a waiter whether u r male/female,

  4. You are still too young. I think you need to be 16.

  5. No, because of insurance purposes - health and safety.

  6. You couldn't in America...
