Can I make denim darker?

I bought several pairs of jeans for my girls online. Great price, however I didn't realize the color was so light. Would using Rit brand dye in their denim blue shade make the pants permanently darker?

Use hot water use the whole bottle of dye.

The dye might not last forever but it will get it darker

Let it soak for 1 or 2 hrs.

You can even stove top it if you prefer.

I'm not sure but I would try it. Darker jeans make me look so much slimmer. good luck

My advise to you would be to try one pair first ,because the dye might not absorb well  and you might end up with stains or the Tie dye look on them , and if this happen your savings might turn out to be a waste of money. When you have dyed the first pair make sure that you rinse them in a mixture of  cold water and white vinegar to prevent the colour from bleeding and stain the skin as well , to keep the colour safe always wash jeans inside out and to protect the zipper make sure that it's pulled up before washing .
