Can I wash a headband?

My favorite headband is all stained, and it's white. It's got a hard plastic base with a white paisley cover. Do you think I could wash it?

Yeah, I would just use detergent you use to wash your clothes but scrub it on with a brush, rinse it off, and leave it to dry instead of putting it in the washing machine.

Yeah, just soak it in some detergent and some bleach. Rub it real good and let it air dry. It might break in the washer.
