Can Tetracycline cause man b***s?

I have being taken Tetracycline for about a year i have noticed i have man b***s help please!!! i am 15 and used to have bad acne problems but not for awhile please help!!!!

  1. There has no proof that long-term tetracycline can cause fat accumulation in that area, causing man b***s. There are 2 reasons why men get this, otherwise known as "moobs": the first comes from simply being overweight, and the other reason is due to a medical condition called gynecomastia. Although there are medications which are linked to this condition, but not teracycline. Sometimes this occur simply with puberty where all adolescent males do experience some breast enlargement, although usually it is only temporary. The enlargement will usually begin to recede later in puberty however sometimes it can persist later into life.


  2. Your problem is relatively common during puberty.  The main thing you need to do is lose weight if you are overweight.  If you are at a good weight, see your doctor and ask about the tetracycline.  There is a medical name for your condition.  It is called gynecomastia.
