Alesano Tuilagi is a spectacular line breaker and a heavy tackler.  I've seen him line up in the centres for Leicester during set plays (like on a 5 metre scrum vs Gloucester last year at Twickers) with devestating consequences, but he is around 18 stones in weight and I don't think he could last an entire game at that weight in the centres where there is lots of stop starting, tracking back and what not.

What an interesting experiment though, because the defense would automatically double team him becasue he is such a threat going forward which would leave gaps on their back line.

i definetly think so because he is a strong tackler and is a very powerful runner with quite a bit of pace i think this position is ideal for him and it would definetly be great to watch

Definitely. Just look at some of the centres in League and that is a much faster and intense a game.
