Can antibiotics mess with a period?

I know I am not pregnant but was 2 weeks late for my period after starting a heavy dose antibiotic. I was wondering if I was late due to the new medication?

Yes thet can it happened to me i missed a period and got spotting in the midddle of the month nxt time

If it is a serious antibiotic, meaning a strong one, it's quite possible.  

Women who have to take antibiotics for one reason or another should also consumer at least one container of yogurt a day.  

Antibiotics rid us of good and bad bacteria "down there"... but the yogurt will help with this.

Definitely give your doc office a call...

It might be sometimes new medicine can affect your period or even cause a yeast infection. If you think it could be serious ask your doctor. =)
