Can anyone explain the Oregon Vortex?

I read up on it on the website but still do not understand. Why did the building slide off its foundation? Why do objects stand at odd angles? Why are there optical illusions? If there is one, there must be more so is there others in foreign locations? How large of an area is affected?

There used to be a room at Knott's Berry Farm that was intentionally built to give the impression that forces were skewed by some mysterious power.  It was just a matter of playing with the site design to mess with your perception of the vertical.  All for entertainment and perfectly non-magical.

the magnetic field could be altered in that place. It is known that when certain magnetic lines of the earth cross each other , right there in the intersection weird things could happen such as this one of the vortex , but what puzzles me is that magnetic vortexes  created by nature does not last that long , the artificial ones last forever which makes me think it could have been created by someone either for experiments or for god knows what...

I don't understand.  It's just an optical illusion.  Physical objects behave as they would anywhere else.  The only difference here is the house is at an odd angle, making it appear as if things are rolling up hill or that people change height.  This could be built anywhere in the world.

I've been there, also, and I personally believe it's an illusion like a 'fun house'. Very clever, but scientists aren't talking on the nightly news about it.

Looks like Jasius had a little psychic encounter.  I've seen this on tv. Wish you had posted a link about it. If it's an illusion..it's a very good one. I don't see how a broom could possibly stand on its own. It would take more than someone saying it's an illusion to convince me that it is.

I have been there.  It is just an illusion, but was still a fun day trip combined with going to the Oregon Caves.  Here is a website explaining the illusions at the "vortex".

It's funny because I was just emailing back and forth about this with tyquniaum1 a week or two ago, and mentioned it today at lunch to a family member who had gone there with me.
