  2. Hello,

I'm 14 and I'm on Drill Team for my High School. I really would like to help you and I think I can! You have to think I can...if you want to be that girl you have to be her....if you don't picture yourself as her you can't transform into her.

**The key is to stretch whenever. If your watching TV do your splits...hold it there while watching So you Think you Can Dance! :) You will be so focused that it won't hurt as bad. Just think ten-twenty seconds longer..then I rest for a minute and try again.

**Stretch everyday for at least 20-45mins. This will help you develop a good stretching habits.

**For your splits try to hold them alot. You want to practice them everyday. The once a week thing WILL NOT work because next week you will be in the same place and that will make you upset and you will be likely to quit.

**Do plies and lunges..also do partner stretches have your partner lift your leg up as high as you can and hold it for thirty seconds.

**Join a flexibility class about six months before you start dancing again..they can help you with stretching even if you have that class still stretch at home.

**Do stretches sitting down like toutching your right foot, center, then left foot. It helps stretch your legs and your back which will hold you up while stretching.

**Have pointed toes you feel the stretches more.

**Here are some Links on you tube that can help you..copy and paste it from my answer into your URL bar and it should come up.

Good Luck at tryouts!! I hope I helped! :)))

  3. for center splits i suggest laying on your back but against the wall legs up and then push them down the wall.....or sitting against the wall legs open going in as far as you can and have someone (family, friends, etc.) push your back so you go in farther.....

for right and left splits do 1/2 splits with one leg straight adn one bent i suggest switching and you push forward u'll know how when you are in the position and you sit on op of your legs....

for all of your splits.....do them for at least a minute no stopping...  stretch while watching TV or before bed on your back and pull right leg to ur head and hold....left leg......then straddle in air.......and the best thing that u'll be surprised when you get in ur splits after you do it is when  you put a chair or a stack of phone books under your front leg for right and left splits while your doing your splits they help so much!!!! for center just put it under one leg and then switch it

  4. Stretch, stretch, STRETCH. Touch your toes WITHOUT bending your knees at all. Sit down cross-legged, and put your head down face first stretching. If you feel that pain near the joint of your leg (forgot what it was called) your doing it right. STRETCH!

  5. To stretch your spits, lay on your back and hold your leg up, and try to bring it up to your ear, but make sure your bottom leg stays on the floor. You should do that daily. And for your straddle lay on it and try to touch your belly button to the ground.  Or you could go onto your elbows and sit in it.

    Good luck! ;*)

  6. here's how to get as flexible as a piece of laffy taffy in hot water take a hot bath then strewth your muscles will be so relaxed they wont see it coming (trust me it works) hope i helped good luck!
