What type or cam do you recommend for my my daily driver SBC 350. it is my daily driver but i like the choppy idle..... and i like to stand on the throttle sometimes.

  1. I would recommend a split pattern cam from summit or jegs.  Summit racing has a split grind cam with 0.442 int./0.465 exh. lift and a duration of 272 int. and 282 exh. it will have a some what of a rough idle but still keeping your low end torque and power along with a few extra ponies to boot.  


  2. That's not really good for a daily driver.  The choppy idle is from the valve overlap on the duration.  You can get a good street cam that'll give you lots of power and torque plus dependability.  Crower and Isky come to mind, but there's many more brands.  The choppy cams cause the engine to have poor vacuum at idle which may cause you to have problems.

  3. RV cam, good torque and very drivable.
